Buying & Redeeming Products
You can buy exclusive products from creators using the Storefront. Here is the complete process.
1. Discover and Browse
You can find a creator's storefront in several ways:
Clicking an affiliate link in the creator's social media bio (like on X or Instagram).
Visiting the creator's token page on the Firestarter app and clicking the "Store" tab.
Finding a featured token on the Firestarter homepage.
Once in the store, you can browse all available products, which are priced in the creator's personal token (e.g., 100 $VICTOR).
2. Buy a Product
Find a product you want and click the "Buy with Token" button.
A pop-up will ask you to connect your wallet or log in with a social account (like Gmail).
If you use a social login: A secure, new wallet will automatically be created for you.
The system will check if you have enough of the creator's token.
If you don't: You will be given a clear option to buy the required tokens directly with a credit card.
Once you have the tokens, approve the transaction to complete the purchase.
3. Access Your Product
Your token payment is held in a secure Escrow Smart Contract and is not sent to the creator immediately. Once your payment is confirmed, the "redemption instructions" for your product are instantly revealed to you. This could be:
A private link to book a Zoom call.
A unique password for a private webpage.
A form to submit your details for a personalized video.
You can find all your purchased perks and their statuses in your user dashboard under the "My Products" or "Order History" section.
4. How to Confirm Delivery or Initiate a Dispute
After you purchase a product, the creator must deliver it. Once they do, they will mark the order as "Delivered" on their end. You will receive a notification, and a 72-hour confirmation window will begin.
You can manage this process from your user dashboard in the "My Products" or "Order History" section. Find the order, which will be marked with a "Delivered" status. During this 72-hour window, you have three options:
1. Confirm Delivery (The Happy Path)
If you have received your product (e.g., got the download link, attended the video call) and everything is as expected, simply click the "Confirm Delivery" button.
Result: This action is final. It immediately releases the funds from the secure escrow to the creator, and the order is marked as "Completed."
2. Take No Action (Auto-Confirmation)
If you do nothing for 72 hours, the system will automatically release the funds to the creator once the window expires.
Result: This protects the creator from buyers who forget to confirm. The order is marked as "Completed."
3. Initiate a Dispute (If There's a Problem)
If you did not receive your product or what you received is "not as described," you must act within the 72-hour window.
Click the "Initiate Dispute" button (often a link next to "Confirm Delivery").
A pop-up window will appear, asking you to state the reason for the dispute (e.g., "Product not delivered," "Product not as described") and provide a brief description of the issue.
Submit the form.
Result: The 72-hour timer is immediately paused. The order status changes to "In Dispute", and the case is moved to the Resolution Center, where the creator will be notified. See How to Handle a Dispute for more details.
